Your photos have value.
Get paid for them.
The Photo Acquisition Program lets you contribute qualifying photos to an ethically-sourced dataset used by researchers, scientists, and AI teams — and earn money for every photo accepted.

How it works
Contributing is simple. You stay in control the entire time.
1. Opt in
Turn on the Photo Acquisition Program in your Arda settings. Choose which types of photos you want to contribute.
2. We filter
Automated filters screen for faces, documents, and sensitive content. Only qualifying outdoor and scene photos pass through.
3. You get paid
Every accepted photo earns you money. Photos are fully anonymized — no link back to you, ever. You can opt out at any time.
Be part of something bigger
Most large photo datasets are scraped without consent, full of bias, or locked behind restrictive licenses. The Photo Acquisition Program is different — every photo is contributed voluntarily, by real people who chose to be part of it.
Your photos help researchers, urban planners, climate scientists, and AI teams do better work with higher-quality, more representative visual data. And you get compensated for the value you provide.
Your privacy is non-negotiable
Every photo passes through multiple layers of automated filtering before it enters the dataset.
Face detection
Photos containing recognizable faces are automatically excluded. No exceptions.
NSFW and document filtering
Automated classifiers screen out sensitive, explicit, or document-based content.
Metadata stripping
All personal metadata is removed. Only GPS coordinates and timestamp are retained.
Full anonymization
Each photo gets a random UUID. There is no link back to your account or identity.
You can also maintain a personal exclusion list — specific photos you never want considered, regardless of whether they pass automated filters. You stay in control.
Where your photos make a difference
The dataset powers real work across research, science, and technology.
AI Training
Vision models trained on diverse, consent-based data perform better and more fairly.
Climate Research
Geotagged outdoor photos help track environmental change over time.
Urban Planning
Street-level imagery helps cities understand how public spaces are actually used.
Geospatial Analysis
Location-tagged photos fill gaps in satellite and survey data worldwide.
