3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Process and analyze your uploaded photos

  • Generate de-identified or aggregated insights, analytics, and datasets

4. How We Use Your Photos

You retain ownership of your photos. By uploading photos to the Service, you grant us a broad license to use them as described in our Terms of Service. Here is how we handle your photos:

  • Photos are encrypted at rest and in transit
  • We use your photos to provide analysis results, improve our AI models, and develop new features and services
  • We may use de-identified or aggregated photo data for research, analytics, machine learning training, and product development
  • We do not sell your individual, identifiable photos to third parties
  • We may share de-identified, aggregated, or derivative data with partners, researchers, and service providers
  • You can delete your photos and analysis data from your account at any time, though this does not reverse prior model training or remove data from derivative works already produced

The Photo Acquisition Program provides an additional, separate opportunity to contribute photos to a licensed dataset in exchange for compensation. See Section 5 for details.

5. Photo Acquisition Program

The Photo Acquisition Program allows users to contribute photos in exchange for compensation. Participation is voluntary and subject to separate terms presented at the time of enrollment.

If you choose to participate, contributed photos are anonymized and disassociated from your account. Original metadata (including EXIF data) may be retained for analytical and research purposes. Automated filters are applied to exclude sensitive content, though no automated system is perfect and some content may pass through or be incorrectly excluded.

Contributed photos may be licensed, distributed, or made available to third parties including researchers, commercial partners, and AI teams. Once a photo has been contributed and anonymized, it cannot be retroactively removed from the dataset.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (hosting, payment processing, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and photos for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and photos from active storage within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

De-identified, aggregated, or derivative data (including machine learning models, trained weights, statistical analyses, and datasets derived from User Content) may be retained indefinitely and are not subject to individual deletion requests, as they cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service may not function properly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
